1.
Interned at Walt Disney Florida, US where I experienced the power of storytelling quite literally and learned about delivering
personalised customer experiences
2.
Graduated in Rotterdam, NL where I studied International Business and Marketing and
learned about consumer behaviour, market research and psychology.
3.
My curiosity led me to travel solo through China, Thailand, Malaysia and Hong Kong for half a year. Having never been to Asia before nor had I travelled alone I was constantly outside my comfort zone.
4.
Took up an opportunity to move to London, by joining a wholesale handbags business as a co-owner. Being the general manager, I was very much like a jack-of-all-trades, or better put; I became a creative problem solver.
5.
After 5 years I left the business and started to work for digital marketing software providers/ agencies tracking the online customer journey. As an account manager, I consulted my e-commerce clients with data-driven strategies.
6.
As a client facing Customer Success Manager, I was project managing internal product, integrations and customer support teams. Here I learned about product, user research and facilitating workshops.
7.
Being introduced to UX and Product, I wanted to know more. After extensive research, meetups and workshops I decided to quit my job and join General Assembly for 3 months to take the fulltime UX immersive course.
8.
Why I transitioned my career into UX.
For me, UX means humanizing technology.
Inclusive, accessible, easy and beautiful design that answers to user needs can have a positive effect on people's lives. This excites me and it is something I enjoy contributing to.
